Thrift Store Return & Refund Policy

The Idaho Youth Ranch is committed to providing excellent customer service. Social Enterprise allows customers to return items purchased at any of our Thrift Store locations that meet our policy standards. Some situations and/or circumstances may be considered exceptions to the policy/procedure. That will be determined by the Location Manager, Manager on Duty, or Social Enterprise Leadership.

  • eCommerce will accept returns of items per more specific marketplace procedures.

  • Returns are not accepted at our Vehicle Sales lot and Outlet Locations; and items purchased in the Outlets are non-returnable.

Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Store Return Policy:

Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Store customers may return merchandise purchased in any of our Thrift Store locations to any of the Thrift Store locations if the following is true:

  • Customer must have a current Loyalty Customer Profile

    • If not, they MUST create an accurate loyalty profile before the return can be processed

  • The customer submits an accurate Idaho Youth Ranch receipt

    • See POS Guidebook for performing Validated and Non-Validated Returns

  • ·The return is being made within 7 days of purchase

  • The original IYR RIMS price sticker or price tag with tagger-tail is still attached as it originally was to the item.

    • No peeling of the stickers

    • No tagger tail not utilized by IYR

    • No new holes or torn hole on the hang tag

  • The merchandise is in the sellable condition in which it was purchased

Special requirements are implemented if the following is true:

    • Non-Furniture items over $99.99 IYR price will need to be returned to the Thrift Store in which it was purchased

    • Furniture items over $299.99 IYR price will need to be returned to the Thrift Store in which it was purchased

    • All Ruby’s jewelry will need to be returned to the Thrift Store in which it was purchased

    • All Ruby’s items must have the original tags attached to the item or cannot be returned

    • Purchases made with a voucher cannot be returned or exchanged

If the original purchase was made with the Walk-In Customer account, the customer returning the product must be added to the Point-of-Sale system before completing the return. This helps us to track returns and customers making returns.

 

Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Store Refund Policy:

Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Stores will return funds in the manner in which they used for the purchase if the following is true:

  • The original Idaho Youth Ranch tags are attached to the item(s)

  • The purchase was made on a credit/debit card and the same card is present for the return

  • The purchase was made with an Idaho Youth Ranch Gift Card

  • The purchase was made with cash and the total refund is under $100.00

  • Loyalty points used for purchase will be refunded as loyalty points to the customer’s account

    • Loyalty points earned in conjunction with the purchase will be subtracted when the return is complete

  • If item(s) do not meet the standards 100%, the refund will be given as Idaho Youth Ranch Gift Card ONLY

  • Purchases made with a voucher CANNOT be returned or exchanged

 

Merchandise Exchange:

The customer may return faulty merchandise in exchange for a more suitable product. If the item selected costs more than the item being exchanged, the customer is expected to pay the difference.

  •  Customers wishing to return an item that was purchased in conjunction with a Buy One Get One Free Coupon may exchange merchandise only. The return of such merchandise is prohibited.

  • Purchases made with a voucher cannot be returned or exchanged

What is the return period?

Returns must be made within 7 days of purchase.

Can I return an item without a receipt?

No, a valid Idaho Youth Ranch receipt is required for all returns.

Can I return items purchased at an outlet location?

No, items purchased at outlet locations are non-returnable.

What if I purchased an item with a voucher?

Purchases made with a voucher cannot be returned or exchanged.

Are there special conditions for returning high-value items?

Yes, non-furniture items over $99.99 and furniture items over $299.99 must be returned to the store where they were purchased. All Ruby’s jewelry must also be returned to the store where it was purchased and must have the original tags attached.

How are refunds processed?

Refunds are processed in the manner in which the purchase was made, provided the original Idaho Youth Ranch tags are still attached to the item(s).
